Pimping
- 1- put the birch into the ‘boy’ (a bench with a troph down the centre). pull the birch through and chop with a pimp cleaver to 8″.
- 2- put a piece of tarred string on the edge of the clamp. with a hazel stick cleft in half on top.
3- clamp the birch and hazel together and tie the string.
4- put (hazel facing outwards) into a circular frame called the ‘machine’.
5- once 25 have been done and put into the machine. use cord or strapping to tighten together and tie.
Pimps are used for kindling.
